1) Print the application form and ensure you have the correct original identification documents to take to the Post Office. Remember to tick your final choice of identification documents based on your choice in Section 4 of the Keypass printed application form.
2) Lodge your application at a participating Post Office and have your photo taken. To locate your closest post office, go to auspost.com.au/pol or contact us on 13 POST (13 76 78).
3) A secondary check will also be performed after your application is lodged to confirm your details.
4) Successful applications will be processed and applicants will receive their card within 10 working days (Regular Post) or 5 working days (Express Post) of lodgement or same day for Same Day Service

Check the Keypass identification table to choose your identification documents to include:

1 X Category A and 1 X Category B and 1 X Category B or Category C
You must have 1 photo id If your current resident address is not shown on your identification documents, please choose 1 X Category D If 1 or more identity documents does not match the name of the application, choose 1 X Category E

Note: If your name has changed, you must provide a change of name document from Category E in the identification documents table or if your residential address has changed please provide a change of address document from Category D in the identification documents table.
Was your existing Keypass card issued prior to 2 October 2017?
If No, continue with this request If Yes for Keypass issued prior to 2 October 2017, you have two options: Option 1: Choose to upgrade to the new Keypass to access more services by submitting a ‘new Keypass request’ (see Section a1) to meet new identification requirements rather than a “Change of Name/Change of Address’ request OR Option 2: Stay with the pre-October 2017 Keypass. For Change of Name - Refer to the Keypass identity table list – Choose 1 X Category E For Change of Residential Address – Refer to the Keypass identity table list. Choose 1 X Category D Your card must not be expired You must hand in your existing Keypass card as part of your Change of Details request at the Post Office
If your Keypass Card was issued before 2 October 2017, the identification requirements for Keypass have changed. Please submit a ‘new Keypass request’ (Option: Request Type a.1 New Card) For a Keypass Card issued after 2 October 2017, please ensure you take your existing Keypass Card and this completed application to the Post Office
